Gun Street Girl

The AustCrimeFiction Best of 2015

I'm mathematically challenged at the best of times, and never more so than when greeted by the need to come up with a "list" of a certain number. Okay so that's probably less to do with maths and more to do with a pathological hatred of arbitrary rules. So let's just go with this being the best of list of all the books (currently at 147 or so) that I was fortunate (in the main) to have read in 2015.

2015 in Review - Robert Goodman

Robert Goodman has posted his Year in Review best books list on PSA News - http://www.psnews.com.au/aps/486/books/best-of-2015 One jolly fine list!

Announcing the 2015 Ned Kelly Awards Shortlist

One of Australia’s most well-known authors, Helen Garner is among a strong list of writers competing for this year’s Ned Kelly Award for Best True Crime. The shortlist, announced by the Australian Crime Writers Association (ACWA) on Saturday August 8 at the Byron Bay Writers Festival includes journalists Debi Marshall, Kate McClymont, Linton Besser, David Murray, Amy Dale and freelance writer Liam Pieper.

Keeping up with the 2015 Ned Kelly Submissions - Best Crime

This year I've promised myself a red hot go at reading the entire submissions list for all 3 of the Ned Kelly Categories. Preferably before the 2016 Submissions List is released although there are days when I think I might have bitten off more than I can possibly chew. Still - getting there :)

Next up Best Crime - kept the best to last :)

There is little better in the reading world than finding out that the end of the Trilogy, was just the third book in the series. When IN THE MORNING I'LL BE GONE was... well gone there were more than a few of us readers a bit sad. And then the announcement of a fourth book which makes it a series, and made for some very happy dancing in these parts at least.
