Hachette Manuscript Development Program - in Brisbane
Submissions are now open for the QWC/Hachette Australia Manuscript Development Program
Queensland Writers Centre and Hachette Australia are thrilled to announce their Manuscript Development Program, which gives emerging Australian writers career-making opportunities, open for 2011.
The 2011 Program is open to writers of commercial fiction, non-fiction, and young adult fiction. An emerging writer is defined as an author of fiction who is either unpublished or has no more than one significant work commercially published.
The Program gives up to ten writers the chance to work with senior editors, industry professionals and publishers to develop high-quality commercial fiction and non-fiction manuscripts at a four-day retreat in Brisbane between Friday 18 and Tuesday 22 November.
Please read the application guidelines and frequently asked questions carefully for more information and fill out an application form if submitting a manuscript.
Applications close Thursday 21 July 2011
