Book Information
Book Title:
Author Name:

Nearly finished with the catchup, but this was a book I'd been saving for a discussion on Murder & Mayhem, which I promptly missed because of illness.  But reading the book was no trial at all!

From the Blurb:

The death of a young heroin dealer causes no great concern for NYPD Detective Frank Parrish - Danny Lange is just another casualty of the drug war.  But when Danny's teenage sister winds up dead, questions are raised that have no clear answers.

Opening Lines:

Monday, September 1, 2008

Three Vicodin, half a bottle of Pepto-Bismol, early on a bitterly cold morning, Frank Parrish stands in the narrow bathroom doorway of a derelict apartment, his shirt unbuttoned to the waist, his earpiece switched off, and inside his shoes he has no socks.  He cannot recall where his socks are.  He knows they are covered in someone else's puke.

Whoops - sorry, so far I've not created an entry for this book in the database. It could be because it's not from Australasia - in which case I may never add extra information (otherwise maintaining this thing will kill me!) If it is a local book - fear not, I'm just behind as usual.
