Currently Reading - Compulsively Murdering Mao, Bill Green
I've really enjoyed Bill's earlier books, so it was rather nice to find that with him living not so far away from where we've now moved to, his new books are now much easier to track down.
From the Blurb:
Compulsively Murdering Mao tracks the life of Phillip Coussens from his childhood in a small country town to his life as an investigative journalist and press secretary to the special Minister of State and China Trade, and his seduction by a CIA operative to deliver the fatal move on Chairman Mao.
Opening Lines:
Phillip Coussens always thought of the town as the world. Everything that happened in the world, he knew, happened in the town, it just took a little longer.
Whoops - sorry, so far I've not created an entry for this book in the database. It could be because it's not from Australasia - in which case I may never add extra information (otherwise maintaining this thing will kill me!) If it is a local book - fear not, I'm just behind as usual.
