Malcolm Brown provides a fascinating collection of the most calculated and monstrous murder cases to hit Australia's headlines in recent years. Cases discussed include the Snowtown murder, the death of Maria Korp, the Melbourne society murders, child serial killer Kathleen Folbigg and many, many more. This is compelling reading.
About the Author
Malcolm, a journalist with the Sydney Morning Herald for over twenty-five years, is the general editor and author of over half the chapters. He lives in Ermington, Sydney. Additional contributors include award-winning journalists such as Ken Blanch, Stephen Downes, Bill Hitchings, Bernie Lagan, Ken Longworth and Gary McKay, each selected for their in-depth knowledge of the disasters concerned.
I like these sorts of true crime books as fill-ins, especially if I've recently read a few hefty fictional tomes.
From the Blurb:
This revised, expanded collection of true crime by Australia's foremost crime writers digs beneath the polite exterior of modern Australian life to expose its chilling core.
